Benjamin Šeško attended primary school in his hometown of Radeče. During these formative years, he actively participated in both football and basketball, utilizing the local school infrastructure to develop his exceptional athleticism and jumping ability.

Benjamin Šeško began his youth career playing for local Slovenian clubs, including Radeče, Trbovlje, and Krško, before moving to the Domžale academy. His prolific goal-scoring record in the Slovenian youth leagues drew the immediate attention of major European scouts. In 2019, at just 16 years old, he signed a professional contract with Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg, an institution famous for nurturing elite striking talent. To accelerate his development, he was loaned to Salzburg's feeder club, FC Liefering, in the Austrian Second League.

During his time at Liefering, Šeško exploded onto the scene, scoring 21 goals in 29 appearances during the 2020-2021 season. This phenomenal form earned him a swift integration into the primary Red Bull Salzburg squad. Over the next two seasons, he became a pivotal figure for Salzburg, helping them secure consecutive Austrian Bundesliga titles. On the international stage, Šeško debuted for the Slovenian senior team in 2021, becoming the youngest player to ever represent the country.
