Bevon Jacobs began his formal cricketing education moving through the school and age-group systems in Auckland, guided by his father who worked as a cricket coach. Seeking greater opportunities, he relocated to Canterbury to pursue his studies while simultaneously advancing his athletic career. He experienced a massive breakthrough during the 2024-25 domestic season after returning to the Auckland Aces to solidify their middle order. In the Plunket Shield, he surprised critics by demonstrating remarkable red-ball temperament, notably scoring a well-structured and pressure-absorbing 157 against the Central Stags.
