Puspita Popy spent her childhood in the village of Suhilpur, where she completed her primary and secondary education.

She passed her Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination from Suhilpur High School.

Puspita Popy's entry into the film industry was largely serendipitous and completely unexpected for her family. She never originally dreamt of becoming a professional actress, but fate intervened when she attended a friend's birthday party at a local restaurant. There, she accidentally met the renowned movie director Montazur Rahman Akbar, who immediately saw her cinematic potential and offered her a lead role in his upcoming film.

She bravely accepted the director's offer and began shooting her actual debut film, Tomake Bhalobese Ami Diwana. While that initial project faced unforeseen production delays, Puspita officially made her big-screen theatrical debut in 2014 with the successful release of Age Jodi Jantam Tui Hobi Por, also directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar. Her natural performance as the emotional character Sukhi was exceptionally well-received by mainstream theater audiences.

Following her impressive debut, she continued to work steadily in the competitive Dhallywood industry, starring alongside prominent contemporary actors like Shakib Khan and Bappi Chowdhury. In 2018, she successfully appeared in the high-profile film Panku Jamai, directed by Abdul Mannan, and the thriller Dhushor Kuasha, directed by Uttom Akash. She also actively worked in various television pop dramas and heavily rotated music videos, further establishing her media presence in the entertainment sector.

However, in the middle of 2019, Puspita Popy made a shocking and life-altering public decision to quit the commercial film industry entirely. Citing a profound personal desire to live a more religious and strictly conservative Islamic lifestyle, she formally announced her permanent retirement from all forms of acting. She publicly stated to the press that she wanted to walk exclusively on the path of Allah, effectively ending her brief but highly memorable career in show business.

Since her sudden retirement, Puspita has remained completely out of the public eye, dedicating herself fully to her spiritual faith. Several of her previously filmed projects, including the completed movies Biddhoto and Thakor, unfortunately remained officially unreleased at the time of her sudden departure from the industry.

Puspita Popy was born as Tania Sultana Popy in the village of Nishchintapur in the Hajiganj upazila of Chandpur district. She is the eldest among two brothers and three sisters, growing up in a close-knit, traditional family. Her father, Nurul Haque, was a respected madrasa teacher at Suhilpur Fazil Madrasa.

Her family background played a significant role in her later life choices. Despite her sudden rise to fame in the glitzy world of Dhallywood, Puspita always maintained a strong connection to her traditional roots. Her decision to leave the film industry was heavily influenced by her profound desire to return to a lifestyle more aligned with her family's values.

Currently, she lives a quiet, strictly private life away from the demanding media glare. She dedicates her time entirely to religious practices and personal well-being, completely detaching herself from the fast-paced entertainment world.
