Juairiya Ferdous completed her primary and secondary education in Jhenaidah before enrolling at the prestigious Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) for specialized sports training. As of 2026, she is actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Dhaka University.

Juairiya Ferdous, better known as Joyeeta, began her athletic journey far removed from the cricket pitch. She initially pursued hockey, shot put, and kabaddi, demonstrating incredible versatility by winning gold medals in three different sports in a single day at the 2023 Youth Games. However, her growing fascination with cricket soon prompted a major career pivot.

In 2020, while attending a hockey event in Dhaka, she learned of a women's cricket trial at the prestigious Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP). Encouraged by her mother, a sports teacher, Juairiya attended the trials and immediately impressed the coaches with her raw athletic ability and hand-eye coordination. This marked the official beginning of her transition to professional cricket.

Juairiya quickly made her mark in the domestic first-division leagues, emerging as the second-highest run-scorer and leading wicket-keeper of her tournament. Her explosive performances caught the eye of national selectors, earning her a swift call-up to the Bangladesh Women's Under-19 preliminary camp. She subsequently represented the U-19 team in high-profile events, including the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup.

Her senior international debut soon followed, launching her into the fast-paced world of Twenty20 Internationals. Initially batting in the middle order, she was promoted to the opening slot by her coaches to fully utilize her power-hitting capabilities during the fielding restrictions. This strategic move proved highly successful, as she recorded impressive scores, including a crucial 56 against Thailand in the World Cup Global Qualifiers.
