Aman Umma Azmari Nirjhar

Nirjhor successfully passed her Secondary School Certificate in 1998 from Government Coronation Girls School and her Higher Secondary Certificate in 2000 from Government Pioneer Girls College in Khulna.

She completed her graduation with Honors in Management from Lalmatia Girls College in 2005, and subsequently earned her prestigious MBA in Management from the exact same institution in 2007.

Later in her highly successful career, she actively pursued a specialized technical degree in Sound Engineering, officially completing it in 2015 to vastly enhance her personal music production skills.

Nirjhor's incredible musical journey commenced when she was just five years old, initially learning the fundamentals of melody from her grandmother, who was a highly respected former radio singer. She formally trained at the prestigious Nazrul Academy in Khulna and later received extensive, rigorous classical instruction from prominent music directors in both Bangladesh and India. She bravely made her first public stage appearance at the age of 12 during a local charity program, officially marking the beginning of her prolific live performance career.

In October 2003, she proudly released her highly anticipated debut solo studio album, Poramukhi, which officially introduced her incredibly soulful voice to a much wider national audience. The following year, she boldly ventured into the world of playback singing for the mainstream Bangladeshi film industry with the popular movie Nisshash Ekhon Bish. This pivotal, career-defining moment quickly opened the necessary doors for her to become a highly sought-after voice for countless cinematic soundtracks.

Her deeply moving second solo album, Surjomukhi, released in 2005, further cemented her prominent position in the highly competitive mainstream music scene. During the exact same year, she achieved massive, unprecedented commercial success by collaborating with legendary music producer Habib Wahid on a smash hit remix for a major national telecom campaign. This specific, high-energy electronic track completely catapulted Nirjhor to the absolute peak of her nationwide fame and commercial success.

Over the next busy decade, Nirjhor passionately contributed her unique voice to more than 50 major motion pictures, over 150 diverse mixed albums, and upwards of 500 commercial television jingles. She also successfully took her incredible talent to the global stage, performing live concerts in over 20 different countries across the world. In 2015, she significantly broadened her technical expertise by officially completing a demanding professional degree in modern sound engineering.

Relocating to Paris, France, Nirjhor officially embarked on an entirely new and exciting phase of her international career by collaborating with world-famous European musicians, including Jordi Savall, starting in 2016. Moving strongly towards 2026, she proudly continues to perform at major European cultural festivals while actively engaging in critical social work, specifically using music as a therapeutic tool for marginalized communities.

Azmari Nirjhar was proudly born into an incredibly supportive and diverse family in Khulna; her father was a successful businessman and her mother was a dedicated crime reporter and writer. She spent her early childhood engaging in multiple rigorous extracurricular activities, including intensive classical dance, drawing, and disciplined martial arts. This incredibly diverse upbringing successfully fostered her highly creative and highly disciplined approach to life.

While her phenomenal professional life has been extensively and publicly documented, Nirjhor has strictly maintained a relatively private stance regarding her romantic relationships and marital status. She strongly prefers to let her brilliant artistic achievements and impactful humanitarian efforts solely define her public persona in the media.

Currently based primarily in Europe, her personal time is heavily and passionately dedicated to philanthropy and global social causes. Since 2017, she has actively and selflessly worked as a dedicated music teacher for young refugee children in France, beautifully combining her lifelong passion for arts with a deep commitment to human welfare.
