Sifat Nusrat

Sifat Nusrat completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). She pursued a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies and Journalism, majoring in digital film and television production, which laid a solid foundational understanding for her diverse media career.

To further expand her academic horizons, she later enrolled in Jahangirnagar University for her postgraduate studies. There, she successfully completed her Master's degree in International Relations, equipping her with a broader global perspective, enhanced analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of sociopolitical dynamics.

Sifat Nusrat's professional journey spans journalism, television hosting, acting, literature, and entrepreneurship. Her media career officially began in the field of journalism, where she worked extensively as a feature writer, news presenter, and field reporter. Gaining valuable experience over four years, she eventually became the Director of the national newspaper 'Sangbad Sarabela'. During this period, she also hosted popular television programs like "TBN 24 Movie Moment" and "TBN 24 Chatushkon", cementing her commanding presence in the broadcasting arena.

In 2021, Sifat transitioned into the professional modeling industry, quickly earning recognition as an international bridal model. She successfully collaborated with numerous international beauty and fashion brands, standing out for her elegance and versatile aesthetic. Her creative ambitions soon expanded into filmmaking, leading her to direct the critically acclaimed 40-minute short documentary, "Single Mother". This project received high praise at various film festivals, proving her competence behind the camera as a visionary director and digital producer.

As a writer, Sifat has made significant contributions to contemporary Bangladeshi literature. She debuted with the thrilling book "Ruhi Dilruba Kothay?" and followed up with widely read works like "The Land" and "The Red Moon". In 2025, she published "Agnikonna", a compelling narrative centered on female empowerment and breaking societal boundaries. Furthermore, her manuscript for "The Red Moon" garnered so much attention that it was picked up by Red Productions for a massive television adaptation even before its official publication.

The year 2026 marked a pivotal milestone in her acting career when she took on the groundbreaking role of a vampire in Bangladesh's first-ever supernatural series revolving around vampires and werewolves. Acting alongside renowned actors Shyamal Mawla and Samira Khan Mahi, Sifat's involvement in this 10-episode project established her as a bold pioneer in introducing the supernatural genre to mainstream Bangladeshi audiences.

Beyond media and arts, Sifat Nusrat is an accomplished entrepreneur and dedicated philanthropist. She established the enterprises "Studio by Nuz" and "Nusrat's", purposefully directing all generated profits toward her NGO, "Nuz Welfare". Her organization actively works on crucial social campaigns, including widespread menstrual health awareness for women. Combining her multimedia expertise, she also founded "Nuz Multimedia", seamlessly bridging her acute business acumen with her deep passion for media production.

Sifat Nusrat was born into a highly respected political family in Bagha, Rajshahi. Both of her parents have been actively involved in politics, instilling a deep sense of social duty and leadership in her from a very young age. Furthermore, her familial roots are grounded in deep patriotism, as both her paternal and maternal grandfathers proudly served as Freedom Fighters during the historic Bangladesh Liberation War.

On July 12, 2021, Sifat tied the knot with Kazi Jafar Rahman. The couple shares a highly supportive and deeply connected relationship. Despite her incredibly busy schedule managing multiple roles as an entrepreneur, author, and actress, she consistently prioritizes her family and personal well-being.

Philanthropy remains an essential cornerstone of Sifat's personal life and core values. She established the non-governmental organization "Nuz Welfare," ensuring that the profits generated from her commercial businesses go directly towards social welfare projects. She has actively spearheaded public campaigns focusing on menstrual hygiene awareness for young girls and continues to use her public platform to advocate for meaningful societal change.
