Nahid Rana

Nahid grew up in the mango-rich district of Chapainawabganj, where he attended local primary and secondary schools while playing regional age-group cricket.

He is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies part-time, although his primary focus remains his professional cricket career and national team commitments.

Nahid Rana's career trajectory is one of the steepest in Bangladesh cricket history. He first came to notice in the National Cricket League (NCL), where he terrorized batsmen with his sheer pace while playing for Rajshahi Division. His performances in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) further solidified his reputation, leading to an immediate call-up to the national High Performance unit.

He made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in March 2024. In his very first match, he showcased his ability to generate uncomfortable bounce, dismissing top-order batsmen and clocking speeds that had rarely been seen by a Bangladeshi bowler.
