Lewin Blum

Lewin Blum began his footballing education with local club FC Roggwil, where he spent his early formative years developing a passion for the sport.

He joined the youth academy of BSC Young Boys in 2012, spending nearly a decade meticulously honing his physical attributes and tactical understanding of the full-back role before making his professional breakthrough.

Lewin Blum's professional journey officially began when he signed his first professional contract with BSC Young Boys in June 2021. To ensure he received adequate playing time and senior experience, he was immediately sent on loan to Yverdon-Sport in the Swiss Challenge League for the 2021-2022 season. His performances at Yverdon were highly impressive, demonstrating defensive solidity and an attacking threat, prompting Young Boys to activate a clause to recall him halfway through the season.

Upon his return to Bern in January 2022, Blum made his highly anticipated debut in the Swiss Super League. He quickly established himself as a reliable option for the first team, gradually earning more starting opportunities. During the 2022-2023 season, he played a significant role in helping Young Boys secure the Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup double, proving his capability to perform in high-stakes environments and European fixtures.

Blum remained a consistent feature in the Young Boys squad over the following seasons, contributing to their ongoing domestic dominance and making appearances in the UEFA Champions League. His energetic displays on the right flank made him a valuable asset to the team's tactical setup.

Seeking a new challenge and consistent starting minutes in a different European league, Blum joined Belgian Pro League club Sporting Charleroi on a season-long loan with an option to buy in September 2025. Throughout the 2025-2026 season, he has adapted well to the physical and fast-paced nature of Belgian football, establishing himself as a regular starter and gaining crucial international club experience.

Internationally, Blum represented Switzerland across various youth levels, most notably featuring for the Under-21 squad. He played a key role in the team that reached the quarter-finals of the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. His continued development keeps him firmly on the radar of the senior national team management.
