Bipasha Hayat

Bipasha Hayat pursued her higher education at the prestigious University of Dhaka. She graduated with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1998, laying the academic foundation for her successful career as an abstract painter.

Bipasha Hayat embarked on her illustrious acting career during her undergraduate years at the University of Dhaka, initially gaining recognition in the vibrant theater scene. Her extraordinary talent quickly transitioned her to television, where she became a dominant force throughout the 1990s. She starred in numerous iconic television dramas, including 'Rupnagar,' earning immense popularity and solidifying her status as the era's premier leading actress. The pinnacle of her early acting career arrived with her powerful performance in the 1994 Liberation War-based feature film 'Aguner Poroshmoni.' Directed by Humayun Ahmed, her portrayal earned her the highly coveted Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress. Throughout the late 90s and early 2000s, Bipasha dominated the Meril Prothom Alo Awards, winning the Best TV Actress trophy consecutively in 1998, 1999, and 2002.

She penned her first television play, 'Shudhui Tomake Jani,' in 1997, marking the beginning of a successful writing career. Bipasha Hayat was born into a highly esteemed family deeply rooted in the performing arts of Bangladesh. Her father, Abul Hayat, is a legendary actor and director, while her sister, Natasha Hayat, also pursued a successful acting career. Growing up in such a creatively stimulating environment, Bipasha was naturally drawn to cultural pursuits from a very young age, exploring music, painting, and theater with immense family support.

In 1999, Bipasha married Tauquir Ahmed, a celebrated actor, architect, and prominent film director. Together, they form one of the most beloved and influential power couples in the Bangladeshi entertainment industry. Their creative partnership often extends to their professional lives, collaborating on various television and film projects. The couple shares two wonderful children, a daughter named Arisha Ahmed and a son named Aareeb Ahmed.

Outside of her artistic endeavors, Bipasha is known for her entrepreneurial spirit and philanthropic interests. In 2008, she and her sister Natasha invested in a boutique house, blending her eye for design with business.
