Aparna Ghosh

Aparna attended Rangamati Government Girls' High School for her early education. She later completed her higher studies, utilizing her academic background to eventually transition into the teaching profession in Japan.

Aparna Ghosh began her acting career in 2003 by joining Nandikar, a renowned local theater group based in Chittagong. She honed her craft as a stage performer, making her debut in the production of Court Martial. Her early theater experience laid a strong foundation for her future success in on-screen acting.

In 2006, Aparna relocated to Dhaka to compete in the prestigious Lux-Channel i Superstar pageant, where she secured a spot in the top four. This national exposure led to her television debut in the popular drama Tobu O Bhalobashi. She quickly became a familiar face in the television industry, starring in numerous single-episode dramas and serials.

Her breakthrough in the film industry arrived with the critically acclaimed movie Third Person Singular Number in 2009, directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. This performance introduced her to a wider cinematic audience and showcased her natural screen presence. It marked the beginning of a highly successful film career in Bangladesh.

In 2013, Aparna delivered a career-defining performance as Fahmida in the film Mrittika Maya, directed by Gazi Rakayet. Her compelling portrayal of the character earned her the prestigious National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. This accolade solidified her reputation as a critically acclaimed dramatic actress.

She continued to take on challenging roles, playing the lead in the 2015 film Sutopar Thikana, where she portrayed a woman through various stages of life. In 2017, she starred in the Liberation War-themed film Bhuban Majhi alongside Parambrata Chattopadhyay. Recently, she starred in the 2022 regional hit Made in Chittagong before stepping back to pursue teaching.

Aparna Ghosh was born into a culturally rich family in Rangamati, Bangladesh, and spent her early years between Rangamati and Chittagong. Her father, Alok Ghosh, was a dedicated stage actor and the team leader of the Nandikar theater group, deeply inspiring her artistic pursuits. Her mother, Jharna Ghosh, who sadly passed away in September 2022, was a significant source of emotional support.

On December 10, 2020, Aparna married Satrajit Dutta in a traditional ceremony held at her family home in Agrabad, Chittagong. Her husband is an IT engineer who works professionally in Japan. The couple maintains a relatively private personal life away from the relentless media spotlight.

Following her marriage, Aparna made the major life decision to relocate to Japan to join her husband. She has since transitioned away from full-time acting and is currently working as a school teacher. In her free time, she enjoys engaging with her local community and exploring Japanese culture.
