Andrés Mateus Uribe Villa

Mateus Uribe began his formal youth football development at the Envigado FC academy in Colombia. He spent several highly formative years honing his technical midfield skills in their renowned developmental system before breaking into professional football.

Mateus Uribe launched his professional career in Argentina with Deportivo Español before returning to Colombia to play for Envigado in 2012. After a highly productive stint with Deportes Tolima, he earned a massive transfer to Atlético Nacional in 2016. During his first spell at Nacional, he played an incredibly vital role in helping the club win the prestigious 2016 Copa Libertadores, securing his status as a domestic star.
