Vaibhav Arora completed his early schooling in Ambala, Haryana, where he first developed his passion for cricket playing in local neighborhood tournaments.

He later attended DAV College in Chandigarh, an institution well-known for fostering regional sporting talent, allowing him to balance his higher education with an increasingly demanding cricket training schedule.

Vaibhav Arora's professional career began with significant hurdles, as he initially struggled to find a permanent spot in the highly competitive Punjab state age-group teams. Recognizing the need for better opportunities, he made the strategic decision to move to Himachal Pradesh. He made his first-class debut for Himachal Pradesh in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy, instantly impressing with his control and swing.

His ability to consistently move the ball off the seam quickly made him a standout performer in domestic white-ball tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. These performances earned him a spot as a net bowler for the Punjab Kings during the 2020 IPL season held in the UAE. His impressive showings in the nets led to the franchise purchasing him in the subsequent 2021 IPL auction, though he did not get a game that season.

His true breakthrough came when he made his IPL debut, showcasing his skills on a global platform. He was later acquired by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he found a consistent role in the playing XI. Under the guidance of elite bowling coaches, he refined his wrist position and outswing, becoming a designated powerplay specialist tasked with dismissing top-order opposition batters.

During the 2024 and 2025 IPL seasons, he delivered several match-winning spells, proving his ability to handle pressure in high-stakes encounters. His partnership with international fast bowlers in the franchise setup allowed him to learn the nuances of setting up batters and executing plans flawlessly. He consistently maintained a respectable economy rate while picking up crucial early wickets.

Heading into the 2026 domestic and franchise seasons, Vaibhav has firmly established himself as a premier domestic fast bowler. He continues to spearhead the Himachal Pradesh pace attack in the Ranji Trophy, gaining valuable red-ball experience that further sharpens his white-ball execution. His career remains on an upward trajectory as he strives to secure a place in the broader national team discussions.

Vaibhav Arora was born into a middle-class family in Ambala, Haryana. His father ran a dairy business, and the family faced financial constraints during the early years of his cricket training. Despite these challenges, his family provided unwavering support, encouraging him to pursue his athletic dreams.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he faced significant emotional and professional uncertainty, briefly contemplating quitting the sport entirely due to a lack of income and opportunities. However, encouragement from his childhood coaches and family members kept him focused on his goals, leading to his eventual domestic breakthrough.

Off the field, Vaibhav is known for his calm and grounded demeanor. He enjoys spending his downtime with his close-knit group of friends in Chandigarh and actively participates in fitness and recovery routines to maintain the physical demands of fast bowling. He also mentors young fast bowlers from his hometown when his schedule permits.
