Sheuli completed her secondary education while actively balancing her burgeoning sporting commitments. The local school environment provided her with the foundational support needed to participate in regional youth football tournaments.

Sheuli Azim began her international football journey by joining the Bangladesh women's national under-17 football team in 2014. During her formative years, she developed a strong defensive skill set that quickly caught the attention of national selectors. She was an active participant in the 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualification, gaining vital exposure to competitive continental football.

In 2016, she made her much-anticipated debut for the senior Bangladesh women's national football team. Transitioning smoothly into the senior squad, she adopted the center-back and full-back roles, proving her extreme versatility across the defensive line. Over the years, she has accumulated nearly fifty international caps, a true testament to her consistency and importance to the national setup.

Her domestic club career flourished when she signed with the dominant Bashundhara Kings Women in 2020. During her time with the club, she played a crucial role in securing league titles and maintaining an impeccable defensive record. Her performances in the domestic circuit highlighted her ability to organize the backline and neutralize opposing forwards effectively.

Seeking new challenges, Sheuli transferred to Rajshahi Stars FC ahead of the 2025–26 season. Here, she took on a senior leadership role, guiding younger defenders and helping the team achieve strong finishes in the Bangladesh Women's Football League. Her experience and tactical intelligence significantly boosted the club's overall defensive statistics during the season.

On the international front, Sheuli played a pivotal role in Bangladesh's successful qualification campaigns, including the run-up to the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup. Her solid defensive low block strategy under the national team's coaching staff has been instrumental in keeping clean sheets against formidable Asian opponents. She remains a permanent cornerstone of the national team's defensive framework.

Sheuli Azim was raised in Dhobaura, an upazila in Mymensingh that has a rich tradition of fostering athletic talent. Coming from a modest background, she overcame significant economic and social barriers to pursue her dream of becoming a professional athlete. Her family's gradual acceptance and eventual enthusiastic support became a major driving force behind her sustained success on the field.

When not participating in rigorous training camps or traveling for international fixtures, Sheuli enjoys a quiet life centered around family and community. She is deeply interested in fitness and nutrition, often sharing her knowledge with younger teammates to help them improve their physical conditioning. She also enjoys listening to traditional Bengali music and exploring different regional cuisines during her off-season breaks.

Sheuli is actively involved in community outreach programs aimed at empowering young women through sports. She regularly participates in football clinics organized by the Bangladesh Football Federation in rural areas. By sharing her personal journey of resilience, she aims to break down gender stereotypes and promote female participation in competitive sports across the country.
