Andrich initially began his youth career playing for his local hometown club, FV Turbine Potsdam 55, before making a massive step up.

He then officially joined the highly competitive Hertha BSC youth academy in 2003, where he spent an entire decade intensely developing his physical and tactical skills before turning professional.

Robert Andrich initially began his formal professional career within the highly respected youth ranks of Hertha BSC, but heavily struggled to successfully break into their competitive senior first team early on. Actively seeking vital, consistent playing time to genuinely develop his rugged game, he boldly dropped down to the German third division, spending several physically demanding years fiercely competing for clubs like Dynamo Dresden and SV Wehen Wiesbaden.
