Juan Foyth began his footballing education at his hometown club, Estudiantes de La Plata, where he initially played as an attacking midfielder before completely transitioning to a central defensive role before turning 16.

Juan Foyth made his professional debut in the Argentine Primera Division for Estudiantes in 2017.
