Chris Coleman attended St Joseph's Roman Catholic Primary School in Swansea, where his passion for football first began to blossom.

He later continued his secondary education at Bishop Vaughan Catholic School, balancing his academic requirements with his early involvement in competitive youth football setups.

Chris Coleman's professional playing career began at Manchester City, but he soon left due to homesickness to join his hometown club, Swansea City, making his professional debut in 1987.
