Ahmed Husham Ali Al-rawi

Ahmed Al-Rawi received his primary footballing education within the youth academy of Al-Rayyan SC. The club's developmental programs focused heavily on exploiting his natural pace, improving his finishing techniques, and teaching him the positional versatility required to operate across the forward line. This comprehensive training prepared him for the transition into professional football.

Ahmed Al-Rawi began his professional journey with Al-Rayyan SC, officially joining the senior setup in 2021. As a young striker in a highly competitive squad, his early opportunities were primarily limited to substitute appearances and domestic cup matches. To accelerate his development, the club facilitated a developmental loan move to Spain, where he spent the 2022–2023 season playing for AD Alcorcón II.

His time in the Spanish lower leagues proved invaluable, exposing him to different tactical philosophies and a more physical style of play. Returning to Qatar, he reintegrated into the Al-Rayyan squad, demonstrating a newfound maturity and tactical discipline. He began to feature more regularly, contributing goals and assists in the Qatar Stars League and gaining exposure in continental competitions.

Seeking consistent starting minutes to solidify his professional standing, Al-Rawi joined Qatar SC on loan for the 2025–2026 season. At Qatar SC, he has become a more prominent figure in the attack, actively participating in league matches and continuing to find the back of the net. His ability to lead the line or drift out wide provides his managers with valuable tactical flexibility.

Internationally, Al-Rawi has progressed rapidly through Qatar's youth setups, representing the U19, U20, and U23 squads. His impressive performances at the youth level paved the way for his senior national team debut in late 2023. He quickly established himself as a reliable attacking option off the bench for the senior squad.

Heading deep into 2026, Ahmed Al-Rawi is increasingly involved in the national team's most important fixtures. He notably scored a crucial goal against North Korea in March 2025 during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. His objective remains to secure a permanent starting role at the club level while continuing his impressive scoring trajectory for Qatar.

Ahmed Al-Rawi was born in Doha, Qatar, into a family deeply embedded in football. He is the son of retired footballer Hisham Al-Rawi and the younger brother of established Qatari international defender Bassam Al-Rawi. He also has another brother, Qais, playing in the Al-Rayyan academy. This strong familial support system has been instrumental in guiding his early career.
