Adam Armstrong attended standard schooling in his native North East England during his childhood and teenage years.

He successfully navigated his general academic requirements while completely dedicating massive amounts of time to the highly demanding Newcastle United youth academy system.

Adam Armstrong's footballing journey began at Newcastle United, his boyhood club, which he joined at the age of nine. He rapidly progressed through the youth ranks and made his professional debut in March 2014. To gain essential first-team experience, he completed a highly successful loan spell at Coventry City during the 2015-2016 season, scoring 20 goals and earning a spot in the PFA Team of the Year for League One.

Following further loan stints at Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers, Armstrong joined Blackburn Rovers permanently in 2018. At Ewood Park, he evolved into a complete, prolific striker, registering multiple hat-tricks and scoring 64 goals during his tenure. His sensational Championship form prompted Southampton to secure his signature in 2021, marking his return to the Premier League.
