Abdelrahman Moustafa honed his footballing abilities within the world-renowned Aspire Academy in Qatar. The academy's curriculum focused heavily on exploiting his natural agility, improving his crossing accuracy, and developing his off-the-ball movement. This elite technical education provided him with the necessary tools to break into professional football at a high level.

Abdelrahman Moustafa officially began his senior professional career with Al-Duhail SC in 2016. Breaking into a squad famously loaded with international attacking talent was a formidable challenge, but his electric pace and direct running style quickly caught the eye of the coaching staff. During his early years at the club, he contributed to their domestic dominance, winning the Qatar Stars League and multiple Emir of Qatar Cups.

Recognizing the critical need for regular first-team minutes to accelerate his development, Al-Duhail utilized the loan system. Between 2018 and 2020, Moustafa spent a highly productive spell on loan at Al Ahli SC, making 26 appearances and scoring several crucial goals. This period allowed him to mature tactically and prove his ability to consistently perform against top-tier defenders.

His career subsequently featured several strategic loan moves to ensure he remained sharp and competitively engaged. He completed brief but valuable stints with Al-Wakrah, Al-Arabi, and Al-Markhiya, adapting to different managerial philosophies and tactical setups. These diverse experiences broadened his footballing intellect and improved his decision-making in the final third.

In July 2024, he returned to Al Ahli Doha on another loan agreement extending through 2026. Entering the 2025–2026 season, he serves as an experienced wide attacker for Al Ahli, actively participating in the Qatar Stars League and the AFC Champions League Two. His ability to unbalance defenses and deliver quality service remains a vital asset for the club.

Internationally, Moustafa progressed through Qatar's U19 and U23 youth setups before making his senior debut in 2018. His impressive club form earned him a spot in the squad that famously captured the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE. While competition for wide positions in the national team is fierce, his consistency ensures he remains on the periphery of international selection.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, Abdelrahman Moustafa relocated to Qatar at a young age, fully embracing the local footballing culture and acquiring Qatari citizenship.
